As a result of the innumerable hours that sales associates invested in raising funds for The Sunshine Kids Foundation, we were recognized as being the #1 contributor to The Foundation in 2005. For the sixth year in a row, associates throughout the State of Florida organized fundraising events from silent auctions to beauty pageants and raised over $290,000, more than twice the amount raised the previous year. As a result of the efforts of associates and those of other affiliates in North America, thousands of children from hospitals across the country are enjoying group activities, adventure trips and the emotional support they need during one of the most difficult times of their young lives.

About The Sunshine Kids

The Sunshine Kids Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing positive group activities and emotional support for young cancer patients. It was founded in 1982 by a pediatric cancer volunteer after seeing children suffer loneliness and depression during extended hospital treatments. Thousands of children from hospitals across the country have reaped the benefits of The Sunshine Kids Foundation's many programs and national and regional events.

Affiliates adopted The Sunshine Kids Foundation as a network-wide charity in 1991. Funded by personal contributions, corporations and foundations, The Sunshine Kids Foundation provides all of its activities free of charge to children's families and hospitals.
